What we do
‘The Big Picture’ runs two hour events that transform students thinking and aspirations
Keith Warren’s ability to captivate and mesmerize his audience has them not only engage brilliantly at the event, but also change their behaviour afterwards… which is what you want
Let’s face it –
- You wouldn’t get into a taxi and not know the destination…
- You wouldn’t run a race not knowing where the finish was…
- BUT many students go to school not knowing WHY they’re attending…
If there’s no reason WHY – then… why would you do anything !!
‘The Big Picture’ gives them that reason WHY…
‘The Big Picture’ events have a long-lasting and powerful impact on students. They are totally life-changing and get them to take ownership, make positive choices and critically, …do it NOW.
The interaction and the way Keith engages students gets them out of their comfort zone, to talk about and do things they’ve never done before. The focus is on what they’re doing now and what they need to do to change. We don’t tell them to change – they just do!
Teachers are equally overwhelmed by the impact we make and especially those students who are normally quite reluctant. Teachers tell us after the event how their students have made a dramatic shift – it’s really powerful stuff.
Schools initially ask… “Can we afford this?”
Repeat customers always say… “We can’t afford not to !”
We work with whole year groups (or even multiple year groups) up to 400 students, and throughout the event students complete tasks, get involved in activities and make affirmations. The final and most exciting part of the event is when students get to set goals about what they want to achieve in their life and what they’ll promise to do to get there. We then send these goal cards (which we call ‘My Big Picture’) to them one month later. This has a profound impact and is a very powerful reminder of what they’ve promised to themselves!
Schools and teachers are happy because the ‘Big Picture’…
- Challenges under-achievement and targets C/D borderline
- Tackles complacency and indifference
- Targets students that are ‘drifting’ or disengaged
- Gets students to break out of negative behaviours
- Gets students to ‘grow’up’ and see things differently
